FULL TRANSCRIPT

You’re watching the Whatever It Takes Network, I am Josh Felber with Making Bank. If you have a business today, to continue to be successful and to grow your business you have to be online. What do I mean by online is your business must be on the internet and if you’re not, you’re losing out on connections, money, being able to spread your message and inspire others.

You were probably thinking, “Well, how am I going to get my business on the internet? It’s expensive. I don’t even know anything about it. Who do I contact? Is it going to be a lot of upkeep and headaches just to have my business on the internet?” One of the things I want to tell you is over the next 3 to 4 years there is actually over 3 billion people coming online all over the world and unless you’re posed in your business to take advantage of this, you’re going to miss out.

Your competition’s going to pull ahead of you and you’re going to end up going out of business. One of the things that we’re going to touch base on today is how do you get your business online, or why you should get your business online and how you should get your business online as well as how to start to market your business online. One of the people I had the privilege to meet with was Peter Diamandis. Fortune listed him as one of the top 50 most influential people in the world.

He is creator of the X Prize, the X Prize Foundation and is focused on where things are heading. During this meeting and this time I’ve had to spend with Peter was the 2 biggest things that he pointed out was businesses must dematerialize and digitize, so get their business and figure out a way to take it and get it online and be able to share that information online with as many people as possible to continue to be successful.

The top 7 reasons why you should take your business and put it online. Reason number 1. Right now the majority of all the searches or how people are finding out about businesses is through the internet. It used to be, you have a Yellow Pages or you want to look up information you’d have to go to the library and flip through books or being able to take in the Yellow Pages and you’d have to look up, “Okay, I want to find a plumber.”

You’d have to look under P for plumbers and go down the list and usually whoever had the biggest ad for a plumber, that’s who you would call. You didn’t know whether they were good, if they had a lot of unhappy clients and so getting your business online is going to help more people find you, help more people understand who you are and your business.

Number 2 is keeping your clients informed and so you are able to put information up. Whether it’s new products, whether it’s specials or promotions or who you are about your business, it makes it accessible for your clients or potential clients to find your business. Number 3, your website is going to be working for you 24/7, 365 days a week and is working for you basically free of charge.

With a business being online the cool thing is you can make money while you’re sleeping. With that is you are now able to generate revenue and create cash flow without actually having to put time into that on a daily basis. Number 4 is your target reach. You can target a wider audience so as we discussed, there is over 3 billion people in the next 3 to 4 years coming online from all over the world. Right now there is only 25% of the world connected to the internet.

There will be 75% of the world connected to the internet and you can position your business to capitalize on that. My wife owns a big skincare company “Primal Life Organics” in the organic paleo marketplace and when she took her business online, she was able to expand and she sells and ships to the UK and Australia, Germany, Sweden. Just all over the world, markets that she could have never penetrated by just having a brick and mortar store.

Number 5, it’s going to save you time and time is money so having an online brochure, FAQ so people can get answers to their questions that are most relevant that you continuously get for your business, as well as information that can be easily accessed without having to contact you day in and day out on a daily basis.

Number 6, it also improves your customer service. You can have a blog, you can have information focused on what your clients are looking for. Information to help them in their business move forward with your solution or your product as well as keeping them up-to-date on things that are happening as well.

Number 7, and this is the big thing now, is marketing your website online. There are so many avenues to take and reach potential clients or potential customers in your marketplace with the marketing you now can have access to Facebook and Google and Twitter and go find people that would have never been able to look for you before with traditional advertising and traditional marketing so it’s going to take your local marketing from that local footprint to a worldwide footprint with the engagement of more marketing out there.

I’m excited. Next up we have Jesse who is a Facebook internet marketing guru who is going to teach you some steps on how to transform your business, put your business online and make money.

I am Josh Felber, host of Making Bank. I am super excited today. We have Jesse Doubek who is the owner and creator and internet marketing guru of Fan page Traffic Academy. Jesse has been an entrepreneur for over 4 years, has spent over a million dollars in Facebook advertising.

They have tested over 100,000 different types of Facebook ads. They work with the likes of Brendon Burchard, speaking motivational and high performance guru as well as run campaigns for real estate entrepreneur Dean Graziosi and have recently connected with a billion dollar company from Mexico to manage and handle all of their internet advertising spending $1000 a day just to test ads.

Jesse, I’d like to welcome you to Making Bank and we’re excited to share what wealth of knowledge that you have that our listeners can take away to help take their business to the next level with internet marketing. Welcome.

Jesse: Great to be here Josh, I’m just honored to be on here. You’ve been awesome. You’re just a great guy, you just put a smile on my face when I talk to you. I’m just happy to be here and share some values off the internet with your audience so can’t wait to get started.

Josh: Excellent, Jesse. Give us a little background man, how you got to the internet because I know you always haven’t been doing this since you were a little baby. How did you get started, how did you get connected to the internet and what made you take those first steps?

Jesse: I started out and I went to school for entrepreneurship because I just saw the power of owning your own business so I changed my major a couple of times at school and I wanted to own my own business so I moved back home with my dad after I graduated. I was over $100,000 in debt so I really didn’t know where to start. The only thing I had was a computer, I didn’t even have gas money to go out and try to figure out what I was going to do because I didn’t want to get a job, I didn’t want to be like my dad and I wanted to start a business.

I actually started a network marketing opportunity and I signed up with a company and I struggled so hard. It was horrible. It was probably one of the toughest times of my life being that much in debt. In a year and a half I made $1000 in my company and I spent way more than that on gas to go to hotel meetings and stuff like that.

Finally I got so desperate I went online and I said, “How much do the SVPs, the Senior Vice Presidents in my company actually make?” I was shocked at what I found because I saw an ad on the top right. It said, “The 1% secrets the SVPs, Senior Vice Presidents in your company, SVPs don’t want you to know about.”

I clicked on it and I was shocked to find that there is people out there younger than me that have downlines in multiple companies like this one guy Jonathan Budd, who was a guy in the video. He was younger than me, he said he was building his business off his parents’ kitchen table. He was talking directly to me and he said he was capturing leads online. Over 100 to 200 leads a day on Google at that time.

Now it’s Facebook is a platform where people are able to do that but he had 3 downlines in 3 different companies and I was like, “How is that even possible?” I was struggling just to build one downline and to talk to 30 people over the course of 6 months, so it just let me know the power of the internet, how he could get 100,000 leads in an autoresponder and then be able to communicate with them every day.

I mean, I was just so excited and I understood the opportunity that the internet provides because it’s growing so fast that I’ll find my niche eventually. I’ll figure something out and sure enough now over 5 years ago living with my dad, 5 years later now I have a company that’s doing very well and my dad actually goes, he wants to work for us now. The tables turned that quick so that’s how I got online and I’m just excited about what’s coming because there is so much opportunity now.

Josh: No, that’s awesome. One of the things that I had touched base on in my earlier segment today was just the fact that those 3 billion people and the connection of the internet over the next 3 to 4 years. Our audience, anybody that’s out there listening has been able to get on that now and start to position themselves to capture the huge growth of the internet in the marketplace.

I know there is multiple different ways that we can do this but one of them I know that you’ve found success with and that you’ve been utilizing is Facebook ads and Google ads and things like that. Can you share some of your insights on what you’ve found that’s worked successfully for that?

Jesse: Yeah, sure. I mean, Mark Zuckerberg just released a video saying that the rest of the world, the 4 billion people that aren’t online because there’s 3 billion people right now that are online, there’s 7 billion people on the planet. The rest of the world is going to be connected with the internet because the internet is becoming more accessible in other countries.

It’s becoming cheaper to get Smartphones. It’s only going to evolve into where the whole world’s connected there so when these people are coming online, are they going to find you or are they going to find somebody else is the question that I always ask because people are like, “Well, you’re already on the internet. I’m going to have to start from the beginning.”

Half the world isn’t even online yet so if you can get started now you can start making some videos and start figuring it out. I mean, look at me. I could have said that about Jonathan Budd like, “I can’t do it” but really the key is to get the message that you want to convey to the world, figure out how you can stand out, how you can utilize your strength and find a niche.

There’s eCommerce, you can create a company for web marketing, you can design websites, you can do traffic like I’m doing now. I’m doing Facebook traffic. We specifically, going to seminars and learning from the industry leaders I saw the power of Facebook and I just pretty much bought every training on the market for Facebook and we tried a couple things. We launched an eCommerce store that we were getting penny likes on and we tried Google at.

We spent $500 on Google, we spent $500 on Facebook and we sold zero on Google and we sold $8,500 worth on Facebook. That was building a fan page and then just funneling the traffic over to the website straight to product for people to buy on our eCommerce store. We were using Bigcommerce. Some people use Shopify, we were using Bigcommerce-

Josh: Hey Jesse, we have a few seconds left. What I want to do is when we come back is continue where we left off and then touch base on some highlighted points. I am Josh Felber. You’re watching Making Bank on the … Welcome back. You’re watching the Whatever It Takes Network. I am Josh Felber, host of Making Bank and Jesse was telling us how he was able to start to really figure out what worked on the internet. How to start marketing his company and the success that he was able to achieve with Facebook.

Jesse, I’d like to know, you were talking about Shopify, some of the different eCommerce stores. We’ve encouraged our listeners to go out and make sure they have an eCommerce store, make sure they have a website and I’d like to hear a little bit more about that and then maybe 2 or 3 action points on how we can create the most interactive Facebook ad that engages people and really pulls them into maybe what we’re … Free value that we’re giving or maybe the sales or our offer that we want to get out there and put out to people.

Jesse: The first step in any kind of marketing is you need a place to send them so you need either a website or in this case you need a sales funnel. We’re using ClickFunnels, you can use LeadPages. If you’re doing eCommerce you can send them straight to an eCommerce store and you need some kind of autoresponder. You need something that you can follow up with people that submit their email address so you have a better chance of landing them as a customer and just communicating your message so they get more value.

As far as Facebook goes, the ad needs to be in line with whatever your message is so whatever you are trying to attract, whatever the customer is that you want to work with, and I wouldn’t recommend just doing ads of people that you think are going to buy your product because you don’t want to be answering the phone and dealing with people that you don’t want to work with.

You want to target the people that you really want to interact with and really want to work with and those are the people that you’re going to get. You’ve just got to tailor your pricing and your products to that and then just use messaging and use the copy and the words that you think they are going to want to hear, that are going to get them to take action. That are going to get them excited to click on your ad.

A couple ads that have worked for us are really colorful ads. We’re using contrasting colors, some black and white stuff is really good. The stuff that’s going to stick out in the crowd on Facebook. You don’t want to just be like everybody else. You want them to click on your thing so you want it to pop a little bit.

Josh: Can you tell us … I know a lot of the audience that’s listening, maybe they’re not super sophisticated internet gurus. What is an autoresponder? Why do I need that?

Jesse: There is companies out there like AWeber or MailChimp or Getresponse, iContact. You could just Google one of those and you could probably get more information and I recommend anything that I say or you’ve heard me say in this, just pause. Pause the video or whatever, click the pause button and go Google it. I built my whole career just doing that. I didn’t know anything.

I didn’t go to school for Internet Marketing and now I’m an expert in Internet Marketing just because of YouTube and Google. An autoresponder, what that does is that allows you to communicate with your list so they enter their email, their name and email and then you can program emails that automatically go out to them and some of them you can drop a link in there and drive them back to your website to make a purchase or give them an offer or send them to a video.

Josh: Basically then, so an autoresponder allows us to stay in contact with our potential clients or customers and then as well as follow up with fulfillment you’re even email saying, “Hey, we love that you are a customer of ours. Here’s a special offer or here’s a cool video that you may be interested in.”

Jesse: Yeah, exactly. I mean really from the words of Frank Kern, he was one of the first guys I’d ever followed and I’ve got to give a lot of respect to him and Ryan Deiss.

Josh: For sure.

Jesse: Just be cool. Just be cool with your people. Just be a good guy. You’ve got to do business the right way. You don’t want to be spammy. You want to give them value and then present an offer that they might want to take you up on and some stuff is your best secrets, you’ve got to charge money for that stuff. Right off the bat you just want to be cool with them and you want to help them. It’s about your contribution to the world is what’s going to get you paid, that’s what’s going to get your legacy built is your contribution.

Josh: Excellent. One of the things that I know you’ve created and you’ve been able to help people do is you’ve worked with different entrepreneurs and you’ve been able to take their Facebook pages and go from several hundred thousand likes to over 2 to 2 ½, 3 million likes on those Facebook pages and then turn around and get engagement from that.

Not just going and buying fake likes or something like that but turning around and getting engagement from real people and then convert that by creating value for them. Are you able to share some of that secret magic or how can some of our listeners get access to that?

Jesse: We created a training that takes you the whole way through. It shows you the mindset, how we think about Facebook marketing and then actually shows you the how. We show you the what, what we’re doing in the first module and then module 2, 3, 4 and the bonus module are how. How to do it. Just an overview of what it is that we’re doing to be able to do it, we’re creating fan pages around a topic interest that your customers are going to want to be a part of.

If you’re selling yoga mats you’re not going to create Yoga Mats by Sarah, which is the name of your company. You’re going to create that page but the main page that you’re going to be able to really get a good following for really cheap on Facebook is Yoga Masters United or I Love Doing Yoga. You could say I Love and anything, whatever the interest is and then you’re going to get a cheaper cost per like.

Then being able to funnel the traffic so you create your main page like Sarah’s Yoga Mats. You create a post on that page and then you share it on the other page and now you can drive the traffic to your product so you’re utilizing the traffic from interest to the topic page.

Josh: Awesome, so you’re leveraging one to create more value then turn around and connect them with what you actually do then, is a quick overview.

Jesse: Yeah, I mean Facebook wants to promote good stuff. They want to engage their users. They don’t care about us advertisers as much as they do their users so you want to create good stuff for the users and a good yoga community, so we create a community page around a topic so Yoga Masters United would be a cool page.

That would be something that you could do posts on it about yoga. It’s not necessarily yoga master, your product on every post and that is getting a lot more traction and it’s a lot cheaper if you’re going to do like ads and target certain people in your demographic, United States people or Canada or wherever you’re located, you’re going to be able to get it a lot cheaper than just building it on your company’s page per se.

To get likes really cheap, you’ve got to test a lot of ads. You’re going to have to test 100 pictures every time you do an ad and figure out which picture gets the most clicks for the cheapest in your demographic that you’re targeting so that’s how we do it.

Josh: Awesome. One of the things that is really cool with all this is you are able to take that and leverage that for your other business as well as creating the value for each business’ clients. I know as entrepreneurs and our listeners are like, “Okay Josh. That’s cool, I can have all these likes and all these people following me but what does it do for me?”

I know you guys have had some awesome success stories with different businesses you’ve worked with that are getting TV shows now, book opportunity deals. I think, what is it, when you hit over a million likes on Facebook or maybe it’s 2 million, that you get invited to pretty much any premiere event out there and that sort of thing. It’s not just like, “Hey, cool it’s helping my business build.” It’s creating a whole lot, a larger platform for those entrepreneurs to scale their business and connect with more people.

Jesse: The biggest thing that happened for us, we hit 100,000 likes on one of our pages and then immediately Brendon Burchard called us and said, “How are you guys doing this?” For that cheap. He knew how much we spent to get 100,000 likes and he’s like, “Man, I’ve never seen anybody doing this.” Now my world’s completely open but then I was able to get Brendon to do our strategy and then Oprah called him up and then he was on Larry King Live as soon as you get a million likes.

I mean, you just get in a group with a lot of people with a lot of fan pages and the cool thing is, is we created an inner circle and we have over 30 million fans. There’s 77 people in this group so far and growing so when you get our training, you actually get to network with some of the biggest page owners in the world and they’ll actually share your stuff on their page and you guys can do cross-promotion but you can see their stories and that they’re on TV.

Some people are going on Tyra Banks’ show and Larry King and you’re going to be able to see all these people because they’re going to be posting … If you have a lot of traffic it’s an asset for you and there are just going to be so many opportunities that open up. I mean, I just can’t … Enough, you know?

Josh: That’s awesome, Jesse. It’s not just the internet marketing, it allows you to leverage your business and create more massive growth and so guys, as you’re listening to this out there and as you own your business as an entrepreneur, it is a definite must to be successful moving forward you need to be on the internet.

You need to be marketing, you need to be online advertising and Jesse shared some awesome steps today on how you can go out and do it, how you can take advantage of that. Jesse, so say some of our listeners want to contact you or be able to take part, I know you offer some free training and everything. It’s FanPageAcademy.com, is that the correct web address?

Jesse: They can go to fanpagetrafficacademy and they can get at the information or fanpagetrafficacademy. <<— Click the Link here.

Josh: Okay, awesome.

Jesse: You have it right if there’s traffic in the middle or they can find me, jessekdoubek, on Facebook and chat with me and ask me the questions that they have and I’ll direct them where they need to go and answer any questions that they have.

Josh: Excellent. Well Jesse, it’s really an honor and a privilege that you’ve been able to be on this show today and I’m excited with everything that you’ve been able to share to our listeners so I am Josh Felber. You’re watching Making Bank on the Whatever It Takes Network.
